Pai Gow Poker Review : Rival Gaming Table Game Reviews
Pai Gow Poker from
Rival Gaming is a version of poker that utilizes a 53-card deck in play. The use of the joker card makes a 53 card playing deck. Each player receives seven cards that are then split into two separate hands. One hand contains five cards and the other hand contains the other two cards. These two 'sets' of card hands are compared to the dealers' two sets of cards.

Card rankings follow the same scenario as traditional poker play. The only exception to this is a presentation of Ace - two-three-four-five. In this game, that card presentation is the second highest available in a hand of play. Highest ranking card presentation remains Ace-King-Queen-Jack-Ten combination. A joker cards works as a substitute to create a straight or flush hand presentation. In any other format, the card works as an Ace. The best two card presentation possible in the game is a pair of aces.

A player wins a hand when the five card presentation and the two card presentation contain higher point values than both dealer hand presentations. In the event a dealer holds a five card presentation and two card presentation higher than the player, the dealer wins. A dealer also wins when one hand is higher than another hand and the second hand is a copy of a player winning hand. A 'push' occurs when the player and dealer contain the same point presentation for a given hand of play.
