The game of craps plays with two dice. The object of the game is to roll a hand that brings up a point total of seven or eleven. In the event a point total of two, three or twelve is rolled on the first shot, that round is over and the bet amount is forfeited. Any other point value rolled earns a 'point'. That 'point' must then be rolled before a seven value dice combination is rolled. In the event a seven rolls first, it is referred to as 'crapped out' and the placed bet is lost.

The essential difference between real work casino version and the online version is how long play continues. Real life casino craps game requires dice to be passed to the next player when a player 'crapped out'. Online craps does not feature this requirement. A player simply elects to continue the game and earns a fresh set of dice to begin play.
