In the event a player or dealer are holding cards that total more than nine, points are subtracted from the hand value. For example, if a player is holding a hand value of 13 then 10 points are automatically deducted from the hand. This would leave a player with a point hand value of three.
Essential pieces of the game are a dealer and the player. A dealer is often referred to as a banker or the house representation. Bets are made on the dealer hand, the player hand or a tie combination. Denominations for betting start at $1 and end with a maximum of $300.

Once bets are placed, the cards are dealt out and play begins with two cards. A 'naturals' occurs when cards total eight or nine. A player automatically wins in this situation. If another player also hold a 'naturals' hand then play goes to a tie. Whatever player elected for a 'tie' bet wins the hand.
