For Simplicity Itself - Play Casino War

If you are looking for a casino card game and you find poker to complicated, baccarat too pretentious, and blackjack to boring, why not give Casino War a chance. It is based on that game of war you played with your friends as a child (when you could get your hands on a full deck of cards) and is still one of the simplest yet most exciting card games to play.

I don't know if you ever placed bets when you played War as a child; or in fact if you ever played it, but I did. My parents were card players and they taught us this game young. We each had a jar of pennies which we used for playing, and believe it or not we also used to play one armed bandits for money.

In the casino (and it is available at all good online casinos) this game is played with 6 decks of cards which are ranked the same as in poker, however aces are always high. The wager is place before any cards are dealt, and each player receives one card. This card is then compared with the dealers' card, if the players card is higher he wins, if the dealers is he loses. Simple as that!!

If there is a tie and both cards are of equal value, this is when you go to war or surrender, and these are the two choices open. If the player surrenders they lose half their bet, if they go to war, they have to increase their wager by an amount which is equal to the first ante. For show the dealer does the same thing - then he burns three cards and deals another card to the player and himself, and so the game goes. If the second card dealt is higher on the part of the dealer or player, they either win or lose. Very, very simple, and lots of fun too!
