Learn to Set a Pai Gow Poker Hand
It is without dispute that playing
Pai Gow Poker has become one of the most popular variants of poker available online. It is a game with a difference as participants pay a flat fee to enter and it is an attention grabber too.
But the point of playing Pai Gow Poker is not only to have a fun an entertaining time, it is also to win. It is a competitive game and all competitive games are played because of the excitement of winning.
Each player separates his hands and it is at this point they see if they have won against the banker. In Pai Gow, seven cards are used and they are separated into a two and five card hand. The five card hand must be a poker hand and it must be higher in value than the 2 card hand. If only one of these hands beats the banker, the player is required to push. It is obvious that if both hands lose he is the loser and if the hands are a tie, the banker wins by having an edge. If the two hands are arranged incorrectly this may be a foul and depending on the house (casino) rules, these cards may be forfeited or rearranged.
It is for this reason that it is very important for the player to know how to set their hands. The two card hand is the "on top" the five card "in front or minor". They are so named because this is the way the hands are placed on the table when they are set.
In a casino banked game the dealer is also required to set his hand and this is done according to the "house way" it is a predetermined method, and is done this way so the banker is not using a strategy to win against the other players. All players should "set" their cards so that the highest two card hand possible shows.
