Yet another indication of the popularity of gambling on the internet: A Danish company, Balslev Media purchased the Casino.de gambling domain for a record 400,000 Euros. The domain will be used as a gambling portal to assist gamblers in making their choice between the many online casinos and poker rooms on the internet, especially through objective and well researched reviews.

Balslev Media was reportedly thrilled with the new purchase and its media chief explained why: "First, it's the perfect brand name - it's short and it describes exactly what we do. Furthermore, many people will find our website even if they don't know anything about us through direct traffic, which is acquired when people type in a keyword domain name in their browser and find a service provider without searching for it first. Finally, the high price indicates the popularity of online casino and poker gambling on the Web."
