New Jersey to vote on legalised sports betting
New Jersey's state assembly has called a vote on the legalisation of sports betting in Atlantic City Casinos in the hope it can cash in on increased tourism and prevent the betting scandals that have hit the state in recent months. The National Football League is against the proposal, saying that it turns "human players into roulette chips with the sanction of the state".
