Baccarat Pro

There are three main reasons why Baccarat is such an appealing game in the casino;

1. The house has a very low edge.
2. There is not a lot of strategy involved.
3. It is very simple to learn!

The Baccarat table has a very simple layout, which consists of player seating positions marked by numbers, and three betting rows going round the Baccarat table. You will see three boxes lined up, running to the center of the table (These three spaces are where the player can place chips):

Players - The first row
Bankers - The second row
The Pays 9 to 1 - The third row closest to the center of the table, this is where chips for a Draw bet are placed.

The objective is to bet on the winning hand. That being the hand with the highest total. You have three bet alternatives, you can make a single bet or a combination of bets on:

The player hand (if this hand wins it pays even money)

The banker hand (this pays even money less 5% commission)

Or a draw between the two (this pays 8 to 1)

Two cards are dealt to the player and the banker. The total of the two cards are added together, but there are a few rules that you need to know but are extremely simple to learn and remember.

What each card is worth:

Ace = 1 point
2 to 9 = their normal value
10, Jack, Queen and King = 0 points

Another calculation to note: If you calculate the sum and get a figure over 10, you ignore the 10.

Back to the rules of the game:

Four of Clubs, Four of Diamonds
If either the player or the banker has a point total of 9 or 8 with the first two cards given, no more cards are given and winner is the one with the higher total.

Ace of Diamonds, Four of Hearts
The player will be given another card if they have a point total of 5 or less and will stand at 6 or 7.

King of Spades, Ace of Diamonds
The banker will draw another card if the point total of their hand is 2 or less and will stand at 7.
