WTO rules against US ban

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has supported an earlier decision by ruling that the US ban on offshore Internet gambling payments was illegal.

A spokesperson for the US Trade Representative's office acknowledged the decision but said that the WTO report would allow it to maintain a ban on Internet gambling in order to "protect public order and public morals" as long as it doesn't discriminate against foreign companies.
