US to legalise online gaming

It is a general view shared by many industry analysists that the US will legalise online gaming within the next 3-5 years.

Currently the Department of Justice (DOJ) is pursuing London-based banks for information relating to online gambling companies, which has sparked fears that an American campaign to shutdown these gambling sites will lead to further arrests and charges.

This is more about driving foreign traders out of action so that Vegas-based campanies does not lose out on further business. The DOJ is making it's move now to give the US government time to sort out the legislation and give the Vegas casino brands enough time to establish their brands online.

The hypocrisy of it all is that the DOJ wants to throw foreign gambling executives in jail for money laundering whilst they claim the online gambling market for the US-based Vegas companies.
