Britains super-casinos

Britain is planning to build 90 casinos in England and Wales over the next few years. Citing documents from the Gambling Commission the government had in the last two years approved 90 new casinos equalling 10 Las Vegas size super-casinos in floor-space.

A further 57 casino applications were being considered and the total number of casinos in the UK would surpass 200 in the next few years.

The news comes a week ahead of the decision on where Britain's first super-casino will be located, with London's Millennium Dome in Greenwich and Blackpool as the frontrunners.
