Looses, Deuces, Aces, Wild Cards and Video Poker

Playing video poker online is some of the best fun anyone can have. Poker is a game of skill and there are so many variations of the game, you have to look out for the words Loose Deuces, Aces and Wild Cards, and these offer the player more opportunities to make very strong hands. A strong hand in video poker, is a winning hand!!

I will never forget I was watching a friend play video poker once, he is a very fast player, but he didn't seem to get any pleasure out of the game, just playing for the sake of it so to speak. He discarded and Ace in an "Aces" game and missed a Royal flush which would have won him about $2000 - playing video poker is not like playing a slot machine.

I was flabbergasted, video poker has to be played with some skill and strategy and if any of these words are mentioned in a game, you immediately know that these are the cards you keep as they double up as wild cards in many of the games. I always think about this friend of mine, because video poker is his game of choice, and you know what I think, "I wonder how many times he has lost with a strong hand?" Not how many times he has won!!

Because there are so many variations of video poker, you take your first hint of strategy from the name of the game. Take your time and read the pay tables, because this is where you get your next clues for strategy, and take your time playing your hands, think. Poker is a game for thinkers, there are so many hands, and variations of hand, you need to think before you hold and discard. Remember, you are playing against the banker and there is no time limit on your moves.
