Number of Online Bingo Players Rises Significantly in UK
A leading
online bingo portal has released statistics to show that more players than ever are enjoying the game of bingo on the internet. The number of players from the United Kingdom has risen significantly, especially in the last six months, due to a number of land-based bingo halls closing, as well as public smoking ban that has affected these halls. All in all, since September, online bingo sites have recorded an increase of 19% in player traffic.
The MD for the portal said: "I don't think this increase has taken anyone that works in the online bingo industry by surprise. What we have today is the big online bingo clubs aggressively using media to acquire players in order to gain a foothold in the growing marketplace. We expect this to continue for some time yet."
