New Online Gambling Bill gaining momentum
Barney Frank's new online gambling bill is getting more support by the week. The number of congressmen that have signed to Frank's bill are now 34. But Frank is not the only congressman attempting to legalise gambling.
Robert Wexler's Skill Game Protection Act has also enjoyed support as this bill would create an exception for poker in the current UIGEA. Two other attempts at changing legislation in regards to online gambling have also been proposed.
One is Jim McDermott's Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative that deals with the taxation of online poker. Then Shelley Berkley has introduced legislation that calls for a study of Internet gambling for the purpose of taxing, regulating and providing protection for minors.
