Slot machine gives away cash
Casino players in Indiana got away with half a million dollars over two days on a slot machine, appropriately called Extra Money, that multiplied by 10 the amount of money that players put in.
Caesars Indiana lost half a million dollars before a player notified officials of the problem with the machine, reported the The Courier-Journal of Louisville.
The player realized something was funny when she put in a $20 bill and the slot machine registered it as $200. She then put in another $20 bill and the same thing happened! In all she put eight $20 bills in the machine and received vouchers worth $1,600 in cash - and she did not even play.
Another player noticed this and popped in a hundred dollar note and quickly took her $1000 voucher to the cashier.
When the casino officials were called they found that the machine had a switch set instructing it to multiply credits by 10, which is used in the Philippines instead of the United States.
Hey, everyone loves a generous slot machine!
