footbraking doesnt stop you faster, and your going in the same direction in most cases either way, but you can direct your slide away from the car, better than you can footbrake

i think your missing the point. instead of hitting the car at the speed he was originally travelling, he hit it much slower..he wouldve been fucked at the speed before he footbreaked..
