hey i live up in rhode island and im just getting into longboards, up untill now ive been doin freestyle with normal boards, but my friend let me try his and now im addicted, whats the best board for me? i want to bomb hills, carve, and slide. it has to be fast too

I started skateboarding... god.. About 10 years ago now. Always thought longboarders were pretentious pricks.. it was just an assumption. Like all skateboarders assume inliners are pricks. I currently use my Darkstar deck for cruising.. regular skate set up, tensors, death 55mm wheels and lucky 3s. No problem with the speed... but fucking sucking for carving etc. Suck really for crusing too. All it takes it a tiny stone or piece of glass and you go flying.

well yeah, lots of people use a skateboard deck for cruising, a longboard is just a board pretty much ment for downhilling and cruising.
